Software Requirements: These packages require X Windows, GTK
1.2 or greater, openssl 0.9.6 or greater and gdk-pixbuf 0.8.0 or greater
Please Note: If you are running a UNIX system other than those
listed above, you probably won't be able to run Yahoo! Messenger

Linux Installation:
RedHat Linux:
- Save ymessenger-0.99.17-1.i386.rpm for
- Log in as root and type
- rpm -i ymessenger-0.99.17-1.i386.rpm
- Run /usr/bin/ymessenger from X windows
Debian Linux:
- Save ymessenger_0.99.17-1_i386.deb for
- Log in as root and type
- dpkg -i ymessenger_0.99.17-1_i386.deb
- Run /usr/bin/ymessenger from X windows
Solaris Installation:
- Save ymessenger-0.99.17-1.sparc.tgz for
- Log in as root and
- gunzip ymessenger-0.99.17-1.sparc.tgz
- pkg_add -d ymessenger-0.99.17-1.sparc
- Unsatisfied dependencies can be found at Freeware for Solaris site.
- Run /usr/bin/ymessenger from X windows
FreeBSD Installation
- Save ymessenger-0.99.17.tgz for
- Log in as root and pkg_add ymessenger-0.99.17.tgz
- Run /usr/bin/ymessenger from X windows
